Like they said she sheds a lot But nobody mentioned the smell. It is very important to understand the difference between "hand stitch" and "hand knit". This rug is tufted, meaning "a tuft or group of small, usually soft, flexible parts, such as feathers or hairs, attached or stapled together at the base and loose at the upper ends". The fibers(?) of this rug appear to be attached to the base material with a bad adhesive, resulting in incredible shedding with every vacuum. Vacuumed several times and each time the vacuum tank was full of fibers. The lingering barn smell is a testament to the manufacturing process and materials. While I like the artistic design, the rug itself seems to be of rather poor quality. Anyone who buys this rug will be extremely disappointed with the poor quality and waste of money.
