Technically this is an "ottoman" and has a nice faux leather look, but it's actually a snazzy foldable storage box. The top part is the heaviest and strongest part but the bottom box actually folds up and you open it like a moving box and put a closed piece of box inside to reinforce the bottom.Storage is adequate.I bought it to store spare pillows for the bedroom and also for keeping my feet up when I'm lounging in my bedroom chair and watching tv. I gave it 3 stars for 'average' mainly for the looks and general functionality. But for the design I'd put a 2.5. I still have one with a hinged lid from an a Another company for about the same price, but it looks more like a piece of furniture than a fancy storage box. But it serves its purpose and looks good.
