The filter is a thin piece of foil, not solid plastic
The reflective foil fell out of the ring when I tried to remove the filter and turn it on during an eclipse. I had to glue it to the adapter to even use it and I couldn't find a way to get it back into a stable position in the ring. It was a waste of money and almost took away my ability to photograph the eclipse.
