The thing actually works quite well. He will take large cherries and carefully separate them from the pits. Each time the ant digs a hole but leaves it inside. Tip, put your hand under the hole and you will feel when the hole comes out, otherwise you might get an unpleasant surprise that requires a visit to the dentist. The all-plastic construction doesn't inspire confidence in durability, but not in a way that I use every day.
