I've been using the Arca Swiss Monoball for many years and was quite happy with it until I decided to try the Really Right Stuff BH-55, which turned out to be a precise mechanical work of art with on-the-go functionality with its shape . or vice versa, depending on your worldview. I spotted a Leophoto LH-55 for under $200 that looked like a Chinese RRS knockoff and at first I thought it was probably a waste of time/money. However, a low price can be a very good reason to try a new manufacturer - hence this review! It does not differ in form and function from the RRS BH-55 - not as sleek as the RRS BH-55 - but approx. 1/3 smaller than the RRS BH-55. For the price of a US made product, it becomes difficult, if not impossible, to find a good tripod ball head that will hold a relatively heavy camera/lens combo securely in place without worrying about misalignment or misalignment to have to do. I may update this review later. when I encounter something unexpected in his performance. For now, if you don't want to spend around $500 on RRS, this is a very good option for around $180 (with a 10% discount if I bought 3 different items from the same seller). No bribes or other incentives for my positive feedback.
