I got my new Hario V60 yesterday. I'm by no means a coffee snob, but I have to say that this thing simply brewed me the best cup of coffee I've ever had outside of expensive fancy cafes. I highly recommend reading/watching tips from the pros. It takes a bit of practice to find that near-perfect mug, but I got it on the third try. I think the cool thing is that your perfect mug isn't necessarily my perfect mug, and these brewers let you know what it is. Do a few tries before jumping to conclusions. In my first cup, I ground beans the way you would grind beans in a traditional drip automatic brewery (think Folgers). The water flowed through and I had coffee bleached water. In the second cup, I grind the beans to a medium/fine grind. better. I slowly poured the third cup. Impressive! Anyhow, I'm very happy. The silicone collar is good and it looks like I can brew 4-5 regular sized cups at a time if I want to. Perfect for me and my wife and a random guest or two.
