Compact and durable, suitable for coffee, tea and espresso

After I broke my THIRD Chemex I decided to try something else. This decanter is made from heavier glass and is not as easy to tip over (and break) as Chemex. It can hold at least two large cups of coffee - three regular cups in any case. It comes with a plastic filter holder that fits on top, but I don't use it. The gold filter fits perfectly in the same place.

Daily driver for me!

This has become my daily driver, legs stabilize liner on scale, liner fits snugly on carafe, pouring is great (most coffee carafes splatter all over the place) if you look at that you already know how great the taste is filling. Skip the morning coffee you bought and grind 30g of coffee finely (like the consistency of salt) in 500g of hot water (watch the bloom and stir, then slowly add the rest of the water) and You will not be disappointed! fast, hence the recommendation for fine grinding.

Great tool for tools like me.

Excellent decanter. I usually make 2 cups of 5 ounce coffee at a time and that usually gets me going enough to get my dirty work done. Here's a little recipe for you: First, rinse out the filter. Put 28 g of finely ground coffee in the filter and tar to 0. Pour in 50 g of water and let it "swell" for 50 seconds. Finally, pour in the water, being careful not to shake the coffee powder. Small streams in a circle, which then always reach the size of a coin in the middle. Stop pouring at 415 g. It…

High quality coffee maker at a very reasonable price

I started watching YouTube videos about making coffee and was intrigued. Hario seemed to be the most used by the experts, so I decided to give it a try. And there's a reason for that. It just works the way it's supposed to. Supplied with a cone, a carafe with a silicone handle and a pack of filter paper. I would recommend only using Hario branded filters. This is a thicker paper, and with a large hole at the bottom, other filters may tear. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube on how to use it

Ez used/clean, great design

My first complete setup is the V60. Hoffman recommended that you chose this great design. I would buy it as a gift, I've been using it for a week and combined with an electric scale and an electric gooseneck kettle, the whole setup is very easy. I recommend purchasing additional filters in addition to those already included in the kit. The neck is wrapped with a comfortable neoprene band. Simply rinse immediately after use to prevent coffee oil build-up and remove the strap to dry completely…

Up your coffee game

This is a great way to make coffee at home. If you've only ever made filter coffee with a coffee maker before, or have K-cups or pods, this is a step up. It's a lot cheaper than buying a Technivorm coffee maker, but does require some research. I recommend watching James Hoffman's video on how to use it and then watching other videos. First, there are about 30-60 filters in the kit, I didn't count, but you don't need to buy any filters. You have to grind finer than a standard drip machine, but…

Wow that's good - French Press

I got my new Hario V60 yesterday. I'm by no means a coffee snob, but I have to say that this thing simply brewed me the best cup of coffee I've ever had outside of expensive fancy cafes. I highly recommend reading/watching tips from the pros. It takes a bit of practice to find that near-perfect mug, but I got it on the third try. I think the cool thing is that your perfect mug isn't necessarily my perfect mug, and these brewers let you know what it is. Do a few tries before jumping to…

Good pot set / Chemex alternative

I chose this one over Chemex because it was cheaper. As long as I like it Excellent coffee and very tasty. It is fairly easy to clean and serves as a very good decanter after boiling. In terms of brewing, it comes with a Hario V60 plastic filter funnel that fits into the carafe itself. I wish it wasn't plastic so heat retention would be a little better, but hey it's nice and compact. Based on the markings on the carafe itself, it appears to be suitable for 500ml of liquid, but as this is a…
