It's only been a day so I'll come back and report on the durability but so far I'm happy with the install. Our doorbell went up 49% and has gone up to 53% in the last 6 hours. As one reviewer pointed out, this is slow loading. This is to keep you from removing and charging the doorbell, so it does the job for me. Second, now that it's installed, I can get motion alerts and do a lot of "live views" on my Ring Doorbell. without having to fear that the battery will be drained faster. I have this installed in our work office and mostly work remotely. I need it a lot to keep an eye on other people, mostly so I don't have to go back and forth to the office to charge and stuff. However, as I mentioned, it's been a day so I'll update if anything negative happens. Third, there were almost no instructions, but for someone like me who is not knowledgeable in this category, it was quite simple: I unscrewed the two bottom screws on the Ring doorbell to remove it from its bracket. I then removed the two screws from the actual bracket, inserted the exposed end of the adapter wires into the area of the two screws, and tightened the screw with a screwdriver. I then installed the Ring Doorbell. I waited about a minute to see the Ring app on my phone showing "hard connect" so I can verify it's working (I've added an image to help). Unlike another reviewer, my Ring doorbell didn't have red side lights (maybe it's an older version)? Anyway, I hope this helps someone.
