Avoid! See my photo. The first connector I tried with the tool jumped out of the way and broke. I thought it was my fault, maybe I didn't have it with me to begin with? - I was about to try another one and realized it doesn't fit at all. If it were possible to fix the instrument I would, but it's so broken I'm sending it back. Complete crap. The connectors seem fine, I was able to press one against the ribbon cable with the C-clamp, move it around and evenly squeeze it a little at a time. I've done this successfully several times in the past, I guess I'm an idiot for thinking a cheap tool would help here. live and learn
