I ordered this brace for day use. I have two others that I use at night. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome while pregnant. I HAVE to sleep with a corset on both arms every night. I wanted an orthosis that would still allow it to function like a sleeping orthosis with support. But I needed to be able to wear them all day with more support than most daytime braces. I also wanted to switch from my left hand to my right hand. That's exactly what it does! I can still eat with a fork and kinda pee, I have fingers. The velcro straps hold up well and the pull-up itself fits nicely under the sleeves. It's light enough that I can put an ice pack on it. It's strong enough to reduce my swelling. My only complaint is that the top of the brace, where my fingers flex and rest on the brace, is now beginning to fold and lose its rigidity. Despite this, I use the same orthosis for BOTH hands from time to time. It's used a lot. It is intended for night fixation, I used it during classes. I definitely recommend this bracket to everyone. It costs money. Update: June, has to sew on new Velcro fasteners instead of the old ones. The Velcro stopped working in mid-May. Very annoying that it always comes without a strap. To be honest I no longer feel any difference in pain and numbness when I wear braces or not.
