We live in the country and I needed a shoe with a sturdy sole so I wouldn't have to worry about big spikes or rusty nails. This will get the job done. My daughter wears a size 12.5 and a size 12 fits her very well, there is room to grow so they run a bit large. We tried 11 first and they fit her perfectly and couldn't grow anywhere. Her toe lightly touched the end of the shoe so we ordered 12. The quality is very good for the price. I bought them on sale for $12 but I'm willing to pay double for these shoes.
