I'll admit I haven't compared these speakers to another pair of 'more expensive' speakers. On their own, however, these speakers are surprisingly acceptable. First things first - the seller - The Deep Discount. You were awesome! I ordered these speakers using standard shipping (which was free!) and received a tracking number an hour after ordering! Talk about speed! Upon arrival of the speakers my first impression upon opening the box was that they were very solid and well built with fully sealed enclosures. They come with "universal" mounting brackets. Either way, they were easy to use and assemble. I was concerned that the brackets would not support the weight of these speakers as the brackets look flimsy compared to these rather heavy speakers. However, I installed them a little over 3 years ago and they are fine! No problem. I'm using the speakers indoors, so I can't comment on weather resistance. So far, however, no problems with rust, chips or the like. The speakers sound "good" to be honest. Bass is reasonable - certainly not "deep" - these are 4-inch drivers, after all. High frequencies aren't as clear as we'd like, but clear enough. Although to be honest it might be my source holding her down. I use a Russound CA4 controller and mostly play radio or compressed music. But for the money (these speakers are "cheap") I highly recommend these speakers.
