This product pays for itself in battery savings. I can't tell you how many times I forgot to turn off the lights in our van, closets and closets with no lights. First, they turn themselves on and off depending on the setting you choose. Second, they recharge. with a USB connector plugged into a power outlet or computer. Third, they give off a lot of light. I have purchased lights similar to "Hockey Puck" BUT they use #AAA batteries and are turned on and off by a switch. I often forget to turn them off. This forces me to use lots of AAA batteries and not the cheap ones. A good product!
