My daughter is 6 and loves this toy. The mini mermaid, shells, turtle, seahorse and other accessories are very cute. I can see how annoyed parents will be when there is sand on the floor (sand is finer than beach sand). To deal with this, I took a box that was a few inches wider on all sides than the sandbox, cut off the top flaps, and trimmed the box as a whole so it was about 2 inches taller than the sandbox (it's am easiest to use). a carpet knife, not scissors). With the sand box in this large box, most of the sand that is thrown up ends up in the box. (Well, it's day one anyway. Let's see how it goes! I taped the seams of the box, but I may add some plastic wrap to make it easier to scoop out the spilled sand and put it back in the sandbox. .) I guess , it will accompany my daughter for a long time. It's a keeper!
