My bird loves these cakes! They are easy to break apart for a consistent measurement. You can put it in the bowl whole for them to take apart, or you can crumble it into different sizes. I really like it as a short break food supplement to leave the bird with plenty of extra food that it doesn't immediately throw on the bottom. Once she started eating it, she seemed to want it on a regular basis! Birds love variety and you need to make sure they're getting all of their nutrients, so do your research. I recommend combining different foods. She enjoys it too. She seems excited when she sees getting them so I keep buying them.
