Review on Cat Ears Classic Cycling Noise Reducer by Darrell Beecher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wind noise is still there for me

item arrived quickly in good condition. I live near the ocean, I bike almost everywhere. I listen to BT headphones when I ride, but I often miss most podcasts, news, or music on my bike due to wind noise (not to mention car noise). When pedaling through empty lanes, I often have to crank the volume up to an inappropriate level just to get the transmission to work even a little. So when I read about cat ears here at Revain, it was an easy decision to buy. When I received them, I immediately installed them according to the instructions. And yes, they look pretty fun, but if they worked, who cares what they look like? The Cat Ear (classic) version I bought didn't cover the entire strap, which I thought was a good thing. They're tight enough on the belt that I can move them up and down to position them in the most effective position for reducing wind noise. lol basically the wind noise changed from a hiss to an annoying variable pitch whistle. heh Now I'm older (mid 60's) and my ears are bigger so it can't be the product. Maybe it's the size of my ears. But the bottom line is that cat ears just don't suit me. Given the positive reviews that made me buy it, I think I'm an exception.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • almost never
