I have a lot of high quality audio, a KEF R5 Parasonic amp etc. I like the sound which is natural and not overdone. This speaker does just that. If you expect big bass from a small speaker like this, just look for something imprecise, as such a small speaker shouldn't have good bass. But put it in a corner of a small room, experiment with placement, and it'll produce great bass for its size without being too boomy. I bought this for my parents because they have a Bluetooth device from the TV and that's how they listen to TV, so it had to sound good for dialogue. I also have a Boom 2 so I wanted to compare. I compared apples to apples at various points with dialogue and music. This speaker definitely wins in face-to-face meetings. The sound is flatter and the bass is significantly better. At first I thought Boom 2 sounded better for dialogue, but in some scenarios it might actually be. I think the treble is just a tad boosted on the Boom 2, but the bass isn't there. Boom 3 has excellent highs, mids and mids which is definitely a step forward for the music. The jury is still out on low volume dialogue, the highs are 2 sharper but can be overdone.
