Worn on an 8 mile hike through snow and ice in New York. The terrain was also quite rocky, but the spikes held up very well. They provided reliable grip even on icy rock on a steep descent, and the cleats held tight to my boots the entire time. The only negative is that they packed snow on my boots which made my feet a little cold when I stopped moving. These are my first pair of micro cleats so I don't have much to compare but I would definitely recommend them for leisurely winter hikes! Update: I've put them on a few more times and while the spikes and rubber have held up well, unfortunately on my last hike one of the chain links bent quite a bit and broke off. I was able to fix it with a hammer when I got home but it was annoying especially as this is only my 4th time using them.
