Review on 🌊 General Wire Flood Guard Float Model, Small 4-Inch, Plated - Enhanced for SEO by Sierra Stewart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hopefully I never have to test this, but if I do, looks like it'll work.

Fits perfectly in my 4 inch basement floor drain and has a nice snug fit when tightened. This is only installed in finished form. part of the basement drains, so that the water flows back, it still flows out of the floor drains in the shell and ends up in the sewers before reaching the finished area. Our sewer is also under the basement. even. If the sewers hold up, I'll be screwed anyway and it won't do any good. Putting it in the sewer doesn't help in this case as it just displaces the sewage from the toilet in the basement or worse from the bathrooms on the upper floors. It may also be against some local ordinances but I didn't look for that as I found it didn't have it installed in the sewer anyway. With all the flooding of the recent paradise in our area, we were lucky not to lose power. The drain pump was running every 17 seconds. So if she stopped, I shuddered to think what might have landed on the ground, although that would certainly be a good test for this flood control drain operation. Maybe I'll consider a backup swamp battery system next time, although recent rains have probably overwhelmed the swamp battery as well.

Pros
  • Seals are molded rubber and all metal parts are zinc plated or stainless steel.
Cons
