Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ ProGrade Digital Dual-Slot Card Reader - USB 3.2 Gen 2 - CFexpress Type A and SDXC/SDHC UHS-II Interface (PG09) by John Gray

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very fast but hot!

Be careful with that. This card reader offers ultra-fast data transfer speeds with both CFexpress A cards and SD cards. I've never put a magnetic strip anywhere because I couldn't find a suitable place to put it. So it's sitting on my 2019 Mac Pro connected to a Thunderbolt 3/USB port. The downside is that the memory card reader gets very hot if you leave a memory card in it. Why? ProGrade says it's ok. Fine? Even if you leave the card in the reader and plug it into a USB port, the card gets so hot you can barely touch it. I'm worried that my expensive Sony CFexpress card will burn up. Anyone in e-business can tell you that heat is bad. I just thought the heat being transferred to my cards was bad, so I ordered another Sony card reader. Pleased that the card does not heat up in the Sony reader.
