OMG If you've never updated anything on JK, do it. I have a 17 year old JKU with 3,000 miles on it and just last week I was traveling across the state on business and the cross winds were 50 mph or so. I finally figured out what Wrangler hood flap is. After the first semi-frontal passage from the lee side in such a wind, I almost understood what it's like to shit your pants as an adult. I swear I thought the hood was going to come off. They are SUPER EASY to install, it literally couldn't be easier (the original plastic pins snap into place). It took me 3-4 minutes for each side. Very stiff when you first put them on, super stiff when I set them at about a 60 degree angle, but that's the point right? BUY THIS AND INSTALL IT IN TWO DAYS WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT. I will keep an eye on them and will be happy to order more at the first sign of damage. They really hold the hood like they should. Shame on Jeep for such a crappy design that's so easy to fix.
