UPDATE: After I posted my negative experience, the company made an effort to contact me. I have been informed that faulty components have been found in a large batch of equipment and have been scrapped. They explained that my purchase was one of those I missed, was covered by my one-year warranty, and offered to fix the issue with a refund or replacement. I'm an engineer making a living from electronics. I can certainly understand that delayed failures in third party semiconductors can slip through any quality assurance test you run on them. Finding problems in working devices is not easy. What surprised me was how proactive the company was in solving the problem. It's pretty rare that a company stands so much behind a product. This alone is enough to make me want to review this product again. I tested them on my desktop power supply with an oscilloscope and found that the buck DC converter was stable but the LEDs themselves were defective. Upon closer inspection, I noticed dark spots inside the diodes, probably due to overheating. Obviously, this product uses extremely inferior components. Such a shame.
