Practical all-purpose bench

The Park PB-1 Portable Workbench is a sturdy folding workbench for space-hungry cyclists who need mobility. Its height is 32 inches and the top work surface is 36 x 23 inches. It has various cutouts and notches for tools, bottles and loose nuts/bolts. However, I use a bike repair workbench since the height is 32 inches. it is taller than an average table and shorter than a workbench. For example, too tall to lift a chair and too low to stand up and fix the hub. The reason for this is that its main purpose was to build a Park Tool workbench, see Park Tool PB-7 Repair Bench and PB-1 Repair Bench. It costs $801.00! But it also includes a wheel straightening stand, in addition to the stand that clamps the front fork and bottom bracket. Even without the optional repair stand accessory, the table is a pleasure to work with as it has raised edges that prevent tools, bearings and other items from sliding off. and keeps tools close at hand. In my opinion it's a little pricey for the average DIYer. Especially if you are buying a repair stand accessory. The bench and all accessories cost about $1,000! Since I bought this bench for $115.95 in September 2014, it has gone up to $125.95. The deformation was not caused by any stress as it spent most of its existence folded. I've never used it to get on a bike (which it was designed for) or to load anything heavy. Hence I deducted a star.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • The list will be long.
