Many years ago I bought a Wahl clipper for long trips as I usually cut my hair every two weeks. It was awful, mostly because it was so loud and the vibration was uncomfortable after just a minute. I just assumed they were all like that and gave up the idea of cutting my own hair. When the pandemic hit I had to find a way to cut my hair so I bought this thinking it might be a short term solution. Honestly, given the cheap price, I didn't expect it to last more than a few months. Well, fast forward a year and I like it. You don't need to charge it often - I think a full charge takes around 100 minutes. In addition, it is very quiet and low-vibration. I didn't buy shaving gel. Before each use, I simply wipe the blade down with a paper towel and some vegetable oil and I always get a smooth, even cut with no irritation. I don't use security and I use it in my immediate environment to give you an idea. But it works great and hassle free, and I've probably made about 30 cuts already. I just can't recommend it enough.
