Surprising. If you have any doubts about this product, just take the plunge and buy it. I bought this for an 80lb long haired German shepherd who has no idea how strong he is. He has a general disregard for the rules and that combined with his daily training is amazing for him. Make no mistake! It won't hurt your dog, most dogs can work at level 6 and below and humans don't feel it until they are 20. It's not a shock, it just causes their muscles to contract a little. I don't know what I would do without this product, I can control him when I need him and he is much better on a leash. He no longer ripped off your arm, but walked beside you. I can't recommend it more highly. Lasts all day and leaves no marks on the dog. My only complaint is that the long tines aren't long enough to penetrate thick fur, but just pull them a little harder and you're good to go.
