I could wait to try this on as soon as I received it. It looked much better than I expected it, especially for the price. There is a hint of a glare on the picture that made me think the material was a bit rubbery, however, when I opened the package I was so happy to see it does not have a glare at all. The material is a really nice suede that feels like real leather. The color is a rich light brown very close to what it looks like in the picture and it's beautiful. When I put it on it fit like a glove. However, here is the tricky part. According to their size chart I was an XL. I hesitated to order it because I am usually a medium on everything. But, I decided to follow the instructions and I am so glad I did. It just fits great. When you measure yourself, concentrate on making sure measure your belly area right because that is the part that will determine how well it fits. Everything else is adjustable. I purchase this bodice for a renaissance theme wedding and now my outfit looks amazing. The bodice does have a zipper, which I did not notice on the picture, but that is my mistake. Looking at it now, the zipper is clearly visible on the pic. Having a zipper on a renaissance costume is a big no no, since zippers were not invented yet. But no worries, with clever use of some ribbons I was able to cover the zipper, so it still works. I highly recommend this product.
