My Australian Shepherd loves to be as close to me as possible which is not good when I'm driving. I have to protect her in the back seat. I tried the cloth/mesh panel between the front seats but it cracked slightly over it. I was also unlucky that she jumped in the front seat and through the driver's door when I got out of the car in a busy parking lot. That day I ordered The ZooKeeper. The assembly instructions were clear, required no tools and was easy to install. I added some bungee cords to attach the bottom to the seat frame as suggested by other buyers. The ZooKeeper fits my 2015 Ford Explorer well and moves with the driver's seat, which automatically adjusts to the driver's preset preferences. I have a bench in front of the back seat to turn the back seat into a flat surface with a cushion over it for my dog to exercise or stretch. No problem placing the ZooKeeper over the bench. ZooKeeper does not obstruct the view of the rear of the car. The space between the frames offers enough space to pet your dog or give him a treat.
