The ice trays I received are good and also strong enough to be carried from the tap to the fridge. They never got that far. The first thing I do with things that end up in my food is wash them first. They didn't have any weird smells, stains or stickiness to begin with. After washing, I wanted to boil them out to see if anything weird happened to them, as several reviewers have reported. I bought one of these trays for casting resin, but I wanted to use the other two for drinks. The cooking has left an odd crispy white ring in the pan and now they have a white glaze on them. I washed off the glaze and cleaned the pot. I cooked them a second time and the same thing happened again, just a little less. If it's still leaching on the second boil, how long does it take to leach out for people who just use it as ice cubes for their drinks? The photos I've attached show white spots. If they go wrong, those whose whiteness is worse are from the first boil after washing. It's a strange force that clings to them like dust. I will NEVER use them for food.
