This is a good original quality Delco cable! I have no complaints about the cable assembly! But to my dismay and disappointment, the cable does not come with the metal clips (which I believe are essential to get the job done) that secure the cable to the brackets on the steering column and gearbox. It's just a bracket-shaped holder that you insert into the end of the cable after inserting it into the mount. What was a problem in my case was that on my 2003 Suburban, the clip on the end of the transmission somehow came loose and the plastic tab on the end of the cable broke, making it impossible to select park or reverse. This is especially fun if you need a car for work and have just had a few days of snow with extreme cold. workaround? Disconnect the cable from the gear selector switch on the steering column and switch it on manually. Good times. Greetings Revain, but! I arranged for a return and replacement after explaining my dilemma and they said I may have received one with parts missing. The replacement came with no clips :( As for installation - no technician. It's tricky, but there are some slightly annoying, awkward maneuvers to get the cable around the steering column. Maybe I was just pissed because the clips were missing. So the zipper zip ties came in and I put the old cable back in to get it working again.I have yet to find the clips but this project is on hold until warmer weather.
