I actually bought this to use as a small toiletry bag for my purse (deodorant, feminine hygiene products, hair brush and ties). It fits all of these items, although it's a bit snug (the inside is soft, which is nice but limits space a bit). My bag is a large hobo style shoulder bag and fits in easily. I wanted something I could take to the bathroom that wasn't my huge bulky bag and had everything organized and in one place. This does the job perfectly and I especially like the flat bottom design and the fact that it doesn't sag. It's quite soft, brown looks like the picture.
