I bought it for 2 reasons. First, it's the thinnest I could find (case built into cases from unreliable brands). 2) I found the shape interesting and also curious if it could work as a vertical stand. This is given as 2.2 mm. This is the thinnest finger ring I've ever had. Also, for the first time I have an oval shape, as opposed to the typical round ones. I prefer not immediately. The round in my photo is 2.3mm. I prefer that. I feel this one is too loose on my finger. I don't know if it's because of the shape, or because there's less "real estate" on your finger, or both. I have an average finger size for a man. This might be a good option for someone with fatter fingers, I'm not sure. Second, the sticky part of the back is just a circle, just like round ones. This allows it to rotate, but due to the design I'm not sure if it will last as long as the others, but since I only got it a few days ago I can't comment on that. Finally, if you were hoping that this stand might actually work as a vertical stand (none of them seem to work), then it's not. It is designed the same as the others and only works as a horizontal stand. Time will tell if the hinge holds its tension, but honestly not crossed thumbs based on what I can see. For what it's worth, on first impression I prefer the other company's 2.3mm design and will use that instead as it's fairly unremarkable.
