I chose this one because it seemed more durable and was said to be made of stainless steel. I bought a Type 2 and the bridge tube is knurled aluminum like the other competitors. Well, false advertising yes, but I'll wait to try. Another thing is that the package arrived badly crumpled. The dial was slightly bent, but everything else is fine. I'm still waiting for my citric acid and a few bottles. I'll post again if there are any leaks, but I'm already on the verge of bringing this back. ------- Update March 27th ------ Star added. I've been using them for 3 weeks now. I use with 2 liter bottles. The recipe took a little over 1 week with 1-2 bubbles per second. I may increase to 2 liter bottles and double the recipe in the future. My concern about the dial being bent during shipping is not a problem. Aside from the shipping issue and false advertising of the stainless steel bridge design, I am happy with my purchase. This price is in line with other similar models.
