Very heavy and strong
This scale is not plastic it is very pretty and should last for years. The scale can work without a mains connection and switches off after a few seconds, so the battery lasts a long time. (Can also be used with the included fork.) What I like most is how large the platform is, allowing it to easily weigh large boxes without tipping them over. The readings have a coiled cord long enough to be placed at a distance from the scale, probably around 3 feet long. In addition, the cord is nicely covered in thick vinyl, just like an old phone cord, so it won't twist or tangle. This scale is a winner, it costs a few bucks more than the last one I had which cost almost the same but was less than a half size.
