It was very easy to assemble and use. It has fewer neck and back problems when paired with a writing chair, but it does take a bit of effort to find the right height/angle initially. I haven't had much of a problem with it not staying secure and when it falls it's usually not during work but after I haven't used it for a few days. Highly recommended! I bought additional smaller frames as this stand is adjustable. The single frame that comes with the stand is great for large projects under 22 inches wide, but is still useful for smaller projects as it can be as high as 8 inches. An amazing gift for the avid cross stitcher in your life.
