These socks are exactly the thickness I wanted - so a little thicker than typical no-show socks. However the size is a little small for my liking. I wear a size 8 shoe and the smaller size sock is what I ordered. The sock probably fits as designed since my shoe size is on the upper end of the smaller size. However I feel the larger size wouldn't work for me and might be too loose. The toe is a little too snug for me but they will do. I may try to larger size and wash in hot water to shrink a little next time. Other than the size issue, I would rate these a 5.
