Good enough for home use.

I have several hundred old family slides that need digitizing and I took these; I made about 260 slides in the project after a few hours of work. TL; DR: Overall, this is a great tool for home use, but make it a habit to clean your lens more often than you think you need to. Mechanically it's easy. , similar to a (very) old slide projector where you push the slide from one side and the previous slide is pushed from the other side. It also has adapters for 135mm, 126mm and 110mm negatives. Digitizing a slide is easy: insert a new slide to center it in the viewfinder and press the button. If desired, you can tinker with the brightness; The machine compensates for a large change in brightness, but there are some slides you'll want to adjust, for example emphasizing detail in faces at the expense of the background. Once you've digitized a series of slides, press a few more buttons and the device turns into an SD card reader. The quality of the digitized slides is a bit grainy, so I can't comment on the resolution or anything like that. I can say that the images that appear on the computer are very similar to slides and better than I remembered on a real projection screen many years ago. It is also worth noting that the machine is prone to dust ingress and this is evident in the images; Because the picture on the box is smaller than the picture on the PC, you will often find (after removing the slides) that you have written the same spot on several slides.
