I ordered a 1x5 brushed aluminum footstep. The first problem is that it looks gray, not even remotely like aluminum. Second, the brush effect goes a short distance (vertically) across the roller. I wanted to use it for a truck dashboard and even if the color was ok I would end up having to put the pieces together. But in most applications I think the brush effect on film has a long way to go. For some applications this doesn't matter, but for many it leads to the use of seams and more foil.
