The bathroom in one wing of our house is constantly cold in winter so we usually use a small oil heater to keep it warm. Last year we found that the small heater couldn't handle the really cold days, so I wanted an oil heater that could do it. Luckily I stumbled upon this one which is just right for my needs. We don't use temperatures that are too aggressive and typically keep around 72 or 73, making the Eco setting very easy. After running this 24/7 for almost a month, I didn't even notice such a significant change in our electric bill. The Eco setting seems to do an excellent job of staying warm and balancing power consumption. I've also found that the outlet doesn't get hot or hot like some higher wattage devices do, so I'm not concerned about the associated fire risk. This model also has a rollover protection and low-temperature operation that you can touch with your hand in the Eco setting and anti-tip. I also don't worry about children and animals around him. All in all this is a great modern style heater but I think you will be happy with it.
