The tachometer showed about 3300 rpm but when I went to mow the lawn it went off immediately. The governor spring has been adjusted for more rpm and the self-propelled function works better now. The rpm is still too low. It looks like the correct RPM setting on a one light (single cylinder) engine is 1 pulse every 2 revs. Setting up the device is a bit clunky; You have to put the manual on the wall like wallpaper so that in 5 years you will remember how it works, but it works, it works! and cheap too.
