As an engineer I admire the quality of the machined anodized aluminum. It definitely wasn't cheap to make. The tolerances of the parts show that special care was taken throughout the production process. The design is great too. A minimum of moving parts and no give in the clamping mechanism. It works great as a phone holder. It has the mounting holes I need (both portrait and landscape) and fits a variety of phone sizes. I love how I can mount it anywhere along the phone (top, bottom, middle) so it doesn't block the lens or flash, but it still feels rock solid.
