I sprayed the cleaned fabric seats onto my car according to the instructions - two coats, sponge first. It smells awful, but after a few days it's fine. I don't know how this or any other product sheds liquids over time. I may have unreasonable expectations. Smaller dirt and stains can be easily wiped off with a damp microfiber cloth. That's the main reason I applied fabric protection. Let's see how it behaves over time.
