Our cat loves the front room in our house as it is the best room in the house for direct sunlight. I've been eyeing window rods for weeks and almost ordered a more expensive name brand before I found this one. I figured this configuration with suction cups at the bottom instead of at the top would be the best choice for a number of reasons. First, I worried that the overhead wires would get in the way, both for my cat's ability to jump and dismount, and to make them more visible, especially outside the house. Second, some part of the bed needs to be in a certain position that's higher than our outer hedges so our cat can see outside, but not too high for her to jump up. This perch allowed for perfect placement. He can easily mount and dismount and still see his surroundings. It proved very durable for its 13 pounds and even in our very cold weather the suction cups showed no signs of loosening after nearly a month of use. Very happy with this perch!
