Input does not latch into port on ONN and TCL TVs. Other reviewers say it won't be tied to Samsung and Vizio. Optical ports tend to be finicky. They're pretty annoying when they're working. When they're not properly produced, as is the case with this device, they're particularly disappointing. If you're anything like me, you have a bunch of cables running through your TV stand that you don't want to bother unless absolutely necessary. To find out that this adapter doesn't stay connected, I basically had to redo all my cable connections. I tested it with other devices in the house and the only one it reliably connected to was a 10 year old ZVOX 555 surround sound system. I wish I had searched for "safe" and "plug" before buying. I sent it back for a refund. For the time spent, they have to reimburse double the amount.
