This is a great way to get rid of ballast powered compact fluorescent bulbs. It's not that hard to change the lights. The lights were a combination of emergency lighting and stairwell lighting. With these bulbs we used separate emergency lighting. The total cost allowed us to replace the electronic ballast ($20) and emergency ballast ($50) for only about $30.
