I bought these because I used to buy another brand of bread clips and found them very useful. I bought this brand in a set of 12. Unfortunately about 6 of these bread clips have a very poor internal mechanism which is not smooth and makes an awkward click when the end is pushed to open. I have to press on them pretty hard to open them. I suspect the spring is installed incorrectly inside. I also suspect they won't last very long and I'll have to go back and buy more of the original brand I bought. I am very disappointed as the concept is great - much better than a twisted tie to seal a bag of bread. The spring mechanism in the batch I received is not very good and should run smoother and require less force to open.
