Why is TomTom constantly changing the way you use your device?

I've been using TomTom GPS for years and have found it easy and accurate. I thought my device was broken so I bought a new Go 60 but it's programmed completely differently than previous models. Instead of entering the state, you enter the street first and then the house number, which you're about to enter, which I think is more convenient. But the screen is different, as is the way information is displayed - it's so difficult for me to use that I don't use it. I wish tech companies would leave successful simple systems alone.
