This is a great balance bike for beginners that works well for my 1 year old son (it was one of his birthday gifts) who can almost walk. It's not very durable, but it's definitely more durable than the larger balance bikes, which are regular bikes without pedals. My son's legs aren't super long (nor short, but he has a longer torso and is 74 percentile height), and I think they'll be getting too short for him closer to 1.5 years, not 2 (so what will only last up to 2 if you have a small child who will probably be too small for him at 1). All in all a very cute bike that made my little boy feel like a big boy.
