Review on ๐Ÿš— Sumind Car Bluetooth FM Transmitter: Dual USB Charger, Hands-free Calling, U-disk MP3 Player - Compatible with iPhone and Android Smartphones (Pattern 1) by Robert Grimm

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Incredible retrofit for older vehicles

When used in a 2003 Dodge Durango with stock radio/CD player and I-Phone 5SE the performance exceeds any reasonable expectation. I read the quick start guide and set it up and connected to my iPhone in ten minutes. I was hoping for decent sound when using my phone with a Bluetooth (wireless) connection and a noise-free signal on the FM radio. I have more than that. Telephone service is reasonable - not fantastic - reasonable and comfortable. If you plan on making a lot of phone calls while driving, you'll probably want to keep the blue-toothed device in your ear, but if you just want to communicate appropriately, it works great. . When using Mapquest on my I-Phone, verbal instructions interrupt the music for a few seconds as intended. When I start the car, when I get in the car for the first time, it connects to my phone in just a few seconds. The magnetic mount, which attaches softly and firmly to the slats of the air vents, works excellently. After attaching a thin metal plate to the back of my I-Phone 5SE, the mount works fine. As an unexpected bonus, the device charges my phone faster via the USB port than the cigarette lighter charger I used. I have a CD in my stereo and the corresponding album stored on my iPhone. I played the CD version of Diana Krall's "California Dreaming" cover art and then compared it directly to the MP3 version played on my phone's unit. I was very impressed. No noise, large volume range, no engine or ignition noise. The only difference in sound is the difference between a real CD track and an MP3 file. I'm impressed that it's as good as it turned out to be. I was planning to buy an aftermarket stereo head unit with Bluetooth and a video screen for Mapquest or Google, but no more. In fact, I prefer the smaller screen of my trusty phone. I plan on buying two more to 'upgrade' all my cars, one of which is a 1996 Nissan 240SX SE which I didn't want to modify in any way. I bought it with Revain Prime. It was delivered early (the day after ordering). Now knowing what I know after hearing the accuracy and power of the sound, I would happily pay double the $16.99. That's a ridiculously good value. If I have any issues with its durability I will come back to edit this review.
