Waste of good wood

Where to start. The wood is beautiful, olive wood is a fantastic hardwood with intense marbling. But it's a pity these people use/waste it at all. They either don't have the right tools, know-how or ability to produce the right end product. The outside is pretty well done, in good shape, I would sand a bit more to really polish it properly. But inside it sucks, the big main chamber/hole is crooked, the place where the mechanism is attached is very sloppy. The area where the top sits in the body is sloppy. And the sharpening mechanism itself is sooooo cheap and flimsy, it's bent/broken and I broke it more trying to take it off. Honestly I feel sorry for the tree felled and wasted by these hacks. This company should make the right product with decent equipment and charge more. It's a waste of good wood. I'll try to re-drill and re-sand this thing, find a decent sander and try to do justice to this beautiful wood.

Pros
  • Pepper mills
Cons
  • Not as thick as other pickaxes
