Review on Zhiyun Smooth Q3 Combo: 3-Axis Handheld Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer with Tripod, LED Light & Protective Case - Compatible with iPhone & Android by Jeremiah Vishwasrao

I chose this device after seeing my brother use the gimbal to record videos while we were playing golf. He would walk and plot the route, then use it to record and analyze his swing. I thought it was pretty cool so I went for this one. It's very well done. Didn't feel cheap at all. It feels heavy (but not bulky) in the hand and the handle is nicely contoured for a secure grip. The knurling on the metal handle for opening/closing the device is really good - you might save some manufacturing costs by going plastic, but you didn't save. The packaging is appealing overall (see photo). The bag has decent padding (not like a professional camera bag, but enough for what it is) and - smart move - a zippered mesh pocket on the flat side of the lid. Turning off the lights is a nice touch, especially for indoor selfies and videos. The controls are very easy to access for the most part, although they place the zoom on the side, which is easier for left-handers to use. who i am not Nothing bad, but a little surprising. I can't say much about the app as I haven't used it that often. This seems intuitive enough, although I'm not a big fan of having to provide device information for the app to work. I doubt I'll be using the app much because of this privacy issue. For what I use it for, the camera app on my iPhone + camera control from my Apple Watch does the trick. Overall I am very happy with the device
